Our Story
Discover opportunity in challenges. That's what our founder, Claude Sanders, did in 1932 when he lost his job like a lot of other folks during the Great Depression. Claude turned his sights on starting a residential plumbing service company, which he called Midwest Plumbing and Heating Company. He worked out of his house as he slowly built his business with few resources and an entrepreneurial passion.
Through the years, we've relied on his vision and determined spirit. And now, more than 85 years later, our seven locations — Des Moines, IA; Kansas City, MO; Las Vegas, NV; Omaha, NE; Nashville, TN; and Somerset and Swedesboro, NJ; — have come together as a single, united brand called MMC Contractors.
