MMC Contractors has been providing 2D and 3D drawings for more than a decade. Our Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Group utilizes Building Information Modeling (BIM) mechanical design and fabrication software that allows us to draw in 2D and 3D formats. These models can easily be integrated with other software programs for coordination and clash detection. Our state-of-the-art software allows us to insert codes, service clearance requirements, even component and equipment specifications into the finished models.
Our technicians communicate with the design team continually running collision checks and making corrections. From these efforts, fabrication drawings are created and sent directly to our fabrication shops where material is selected, and fabrication begins – even before the entire project may be completely designed. Installation drawings are sent directly to field foremen tablets. Through a variety of software applications, they are able to communicate in real-time with our BIM staff any changes or modifications required before installation. Through the use of BIM, our VDC and field construction departments take the guesswork out of construction resulting in precise installations and successful projects.
