MMC Contractors was awarded the 114,000-SF, free-standing Monument Health Orthopedic & Specialty Hospital at Rapid City Regional Health in Rapid City, South Dakota. This was awarded while the project was still in the preconstruction phase for the new Rapid City Regional Hospital.
The orthopedic and sports hospital is a new, free-standing, ground-up, 114,000-SF facility that includes operating rooms, patient rooms, clinic, kitchen, and an 18,000-SF, two-story sports performance gym. The sports performance gym includes items such as a rock-climbing wall, a 14-foot tall batting cage, and weight-training equipment.
The project adhered to its 13-month construction schedule and opened on time.
